Gemmae Occultae shifts the spotlight away from the Queen of Pop’s commercial radio staples. Instead, the project focuses entirely on her lesser-known album tracks, previously unreleased studio demos, overlooked fan favorites, and long-forgotten B-sides - a collection the producers believe strongly deserves a fresh creative life on modern dancefloors.
Reviving these rare pieces of musical history presented an extraordinary technical challenge. Because many of the selected archival tracks lack clean, officially isolated acapellas, the remixers had to navigate complex production hurdles, utilizing creative engineering and modern filtering techniques to rebuild the soundscapes from the ground up without compromising Madonna's original vocal performances.
Spanning 17 tracks, the compilation features an impressive roster of legendary underground remixers breathing new energy into mythic unreleased lore. This release highlights several significant updates and creative nods from the collective's key producers: Blue Collar Bros., brenUPnorth, Dab, Dubtronic, HV2, RisingSun, ODM, Lukesavant, Marco Sartori, MAUS Jansen, Tenzen. RisingSun delivers a touching musical tribute to iconic Madonna producer William Orbit, weaving his signature atmospheric influence into two standout remixes on the project. Marco Sartori revisits his previously released remix of "Revenge." Lukesavant returns to the boards with a freshly updated and revised version of his celebrated "Heaven". Tenzen delivering a newly revised and polished version of his "Gone Gone Gone" remix.
